Common Interest Ownership Areas
Walkways, Parks & Trails
The jewel of the Stream Hill Park greenspace system is the birch forest just to the west of the neighborhoods. Because this expansive stand of mature paper birch creates a forest type uncommon in Homer, and because this woodland of handsome birch and inviting, open understory provides a wonderful place to recreate, this large tract has been set aside as a park. An old homestead trail running through this woodland is the first part of what will be an extensive trail system connecting all Stream Hill parks and greenspaces. Someday we hope to extend these trails all the way to Skyline Drive, Bear Creek Canyon, and beyond. In addition, Stream Hill Park borders a new bike trail along East End Road, which means that downtown Homer is less than a 20-minute stroll or 10-minute bike ride away.
